I cannot recommend Dawn highly enough. Last year I took the rather large leap of deciding to get a dog, having never had a dog before. I had absolutely no idea where to start looking or what kind of dog to go for, but Dawn was incredible from the first moment I spoke to her. She came to meet me and the kids and look at where we live, then recommended a gorgeous rescue dog that was in need of a new family.
Dawn came with me for the first visit which was tricky as he was still in his awful surroundings and in a terrible state. She was incredibly calm and level-headed and checked him out thoroughly which meant the world to me.
I cannot imagine life without our gorgeous rescue dog. He hasn't been without his challenges, but that was to expect when he'd had such a horrible start in life. Dawn has always been there with helpful, encouraging advice. She has visited us several times at home to help with issues - and more than anything gave me the confidence I needed to help our new family member settle in.

Dawn is a wonderful dog-trainer. I booked a group of six sessions when our puppy arrived and she helped so much with all the training over the first few weeks.
We hadn't had a dog before, so were a bit worried about doing the right thing, but she was always so calm and positive, we all looked forward to our sessions with her.
It was really helpful for our children also to know how to act around a little puppy and not encourage the wrong habits early on. And needless to say our dog absolutely adored her from the start! Training sessions were really informative - Dawn would go over any specific issues I had - but also really fun. I would 100% recommend Dawn to anyone with a new puppy looking for some extra training help.

Dawn is a life saver.
We had an urgent situation with a rescue Griffon we had taken on. She was a handful to say the least. Dawn came to visit us quickly and put us on the straight and narrow. Within days we noticed a huge difference. Jess was the biggest challenge we have ever had, and I really don’t think we would have managed without Dawn. As with 'wayward children,' more often than not, it's the parents who need the discipline and training...And so it is with dogs. Dawn was just what I needed to rebuild my confidence handling Daisy. I contacted Dawn as we had had a couple of issues with our puppy:
1. She was a naughty Labrador
2. She had been badly bitten by another dog (on her eye when she was 8 months old) which made her rather more excited when coming into contact with other dogs
We had a number of issues to get in hand - working with a spirited puppy and of course training the humans. We have 1 adult who is comfortable with dogs, 1 slightly nervous adult (me) plus two enthusiastic but not-so-strict kids. So we really needed to get family rules agreed across the board.
Dawn spent time with us as a family explaining patiently and clearly where we needed to adjust, and retrain bad habits and educating us at being happy comfortable masters. We worked on getting our rules unified and really figuring out how to connect and bond with our dog.
Now we have a much calmer dog who listens and responds to our commands, so we have become a much happier household. Enough to add a new rescue to our clan!
Dawn came when we settled in the new arrival as we felt this dog required a slightly different approach due to his background, and we were having to now train a 3-year-old not a puppy.
A year on, and while both dogs are still are very excited to say hello to everyone that comes to the front door, they don’t bark incessantly, they don’t jump all over guests sitting on the sofa and will respond to a list of commands. They are happy dogs.
As a family we still have things we are working on with them but thank Dawn for all her patience, energy and follow up in helping us with these important family members.

Our slightly spoilt and stubborn 6-year-old Shih Tzu, was perfect apart from his tendency to bark and lunge at large dogs following an incident as a puppy. Although social in the park, on the lead in town he was a nightmare. As first-time dog owners, we didn’t realise that it's never too late to retrain (pets & owners). Working with Dawn has been amazing.
By showing us how to think like Oscar we have been able let him relax and feel less under pressure to be in charge, so that he in turn can trust us to take care of any situation.
It’s been a slow process peeling back the layers of fear for Oscar and replacing them with positive experiences, but both his quality of life and ours has improved by leaps and bounds (!)
He is back to his lovely puppy nature of wanting to talk to any dog regardless of size and we can enjoy walks without having to be on ‘big dog’ alert and make erratic diversions.
There are slippages of course, but at least now we know what we should be doing, and Dawn is always available for top-up sessions and email advice.
She is a life-changer for pets and owners.

Dawn is a professional canine trainer and fantastic person. She always came well equipped and organised. I had a puppy that totally overwhelmed me as I had never had a dog on my own. Dawn is the calming voice that one needs in middle of anxiety and confusion. She understood exactly what problems to address and she gives homework. I also have a senior cat that needed to adapt to the new situation and she was of great help being a voice of reason.
I brought my puppy home when he was two months old and he is today 11 months. He loves Dawn and we still work with her because it’s fun and as my dog gets older and goes through changes, I need different types of advice.
Today my dog is a well-adjusted sweetheart and I can thank Dawn for this outcome.
